Adsense Guide:.
I tested this process and I can say it worked. I can't say that it worked very well on this blog because I hardly managed to reach the minimum threshold of $ 100 that I can receive directly in my bank account.
It is quite difficult to make money from Adsense on the Romanian market, but it is not impossible. It can be a method that supports other methods of making money from a site such as: Affiliate marketing or writing paid advertorials.
Adsense, on the other hand, works very well for the .com market (in English) and only if you do it in a smart way.
Below are the exact steps on how to set up and make money online with Adsense in Ads.
The guide is very long, has over 4000 words. I suggest you analyze it very carefully and if you want, add it to the bookmark.
Of the few I've found on the internet, it's the longest guide on how to make money from Adsense and how to install it.
Adsense Guide: How To Make Money On The Net With Adsense From Ads
What is Google Adsense?
The Google AdSense system, along with Google Adwords, is the largest promotion program in the world that revolves around the Google search engine.
It is considered an intermediary between online companies that want to promote their services / products and website / blog owners who have the opportunity to offer certain advertising space in exchange for a sum of money based on performance.
How does the Affiliate Advertiser process work?
Before you know how it works, you need to know the difference between advertiser and affiliate in adsense.
Advertiser = an online company that wants to promote itself online through Google Adwords.
Affiliates = bloggers / sites (you) who have a site and want to promote certain companies for a fee. This process is done through Google Adsense.
In order for an adsertiser to promote to you on the blog, they need to run certain promotional campaigns in Google Adwords and set certain targeting options that are related to your blog.
The advertiser sets a monthly budget and decides the maximum amount they are willing to pay each time someone clicks on their ad. If no one clicks on their ads, they don't pay.
Advertisers have the option to choose the sites where their ads will be displayed based on the following criteria:
The predominant keywords on that blog;
Topics that are addressed on that blog;
Consumer interests. Ex. I want my ad to appear on all sites where there are many animal lovers, or sites where I can find everyone who plays betting;
Depending on age and se*;
Directly on a specific website. An advertiser can run a campaign in which all ads appear directly on your website. It is strictly his choice.
But most of the time the advertiser does not choose the sites on which these ads are to appear the ad. It's an option, but most advertisers don't consider it, preferring instead to influence placement in general by using keywords and bid price.
They rely on Google to look at all the relevant sites in its AdWords content network and decide which sites are the best to run their ads on.
And now is the time for AdSense to appear on the other side of the barricade. Publishers (hereinafter referred to as affiliates), those who register on Google AdSense, receive approval from Google Adsense, may use a code provided by the platform to be inserted on a page of the blog or personal website.
This code communicates with the publisher's account to show the type of ad that was chosen to appear, filters ads that you don't want to show, and last but not least, gives the AdSense platform the ability to track all impressions, clicks, and revenue. among many other statistics.
To summarize, the most important task your AdSense account has is to place an ad on a website that targets the reader of that website.
AdSense takes advertisements that are sent by advertisers through Google AdWords and distributes them among affiliates and their sites that have joined AdSense. Google is quite secretive about the number of affiliates who are connected to Google Adsense, but in a blog post some time ago, the company mentioned a figure of over one million.
What AdSense does is really interesting, although it is not just a simple intermediary between companies and individuals, but it is a real system that makes the exact match between what a company wants to promote and where people in their target audience spend their time. Each company can search for its own sites where to appear.
If you have a niche blog (which I recommend) it is good that ads with products / services from your niche will appear on your blog.
You can check the ads yourself and approve them from the admin panel provided by Adsense.
Google links Adwords advertisers to its AdSense publishers through a combination of different criteria that we mentioned above.
Price will also be a factor. AdSense multiplies the maximum cost per click set by the advertiser with a score based on the ad's clickthrough rate to determine the order in which ads appear on an affiliate's website.
We don't know exactly how AdSense makes all these calculations work, and Google doesn't explain how it works. Just imagine that Google Adwords has a large mass of advertisers, and Adsense is a funnel that distributes advertisers to consumers.
What is certain is that not all affiliates will make money from google adsense. Affiliates who do not follow the rules of google adsense will not make money and those who all they want to do is make money quickly and easily.
Before you make money you have to provide quality to your articles and your site, and after you have a minimum of traffic, then the money will come.
What does Google Adsense mean?
So Adsense is an advertising system. It is a system through which the ads published by the advertisers (those who want to be promoted) match the websites or blogs of the affiliates registered on the platform.
It is the matching technology that ensures that users see only the ads they are interested in on specialized sites.
Adsense is open to everyone. Google will test a site that applies to join the AdSense program, but as long as your site is not pornographic, hateful, violent, or generally ugly, Google will give you a chance to win through this platform.
And if we think about it, the best description of the program may be: "It's an opportunity."
It is an opportunity that anyone can sign up for and anyone can take advantage of it.
You don't have to be a genius in developing websites, a nerd in technology or a neighbor of a genius in computer science. You just have to be willing to follow the steps in the previous chapters and be consistent. Anyone can do this, and anyone can use it to make money with a website or a blog.
But AdSense is not a quick enrichment system. As you saw in the previous chapters you can be online with a blog in minutes / hours. You can have the ads running on the site a day later. But that will not lead to your success so quickly.
You may make a few cents from friends or acquaintances who found your blog and made a few clicks. But that won't be enough to make a difference in your life.
Clicks from friends and family will not be enough to allow you to quit your job one day.
And if the same people click on your ads, one day google can block your account. You need to have diversity and enter people from different areas with different IPs.
It will take time to produce enough content to attract visitors.
It will take time to build a reputation that will keep visitors on the blog and get them back.
It will take time to optimize the ads that will appear on your blog to have the best succves.
It will take some time to fully understand what google adsense does and how you can really make money with it and your blog.
And a lot depends on how much you are willing to work to earn money. Once the blog is activated for all visitors, it can become a passive income stream. You can go on vacation for a week, come back and find that while you were sleeping on the beach, your blog generated money for you.
Maybe money that would cover the whole holiday if your blog was to be very successful.
But when you're just starting out, it won't happen. You will have to pay close attention to your content and search for new sources of traffic.
It is a lot of work. It's work, but it's very easy if you are very passionate about the subject and if you love what you do. That's why AdSense won't make you rich fast and more importantly, it won't make you rich without work.
All you have to remember is that money is made through Adsense, but you also have to offer something in return. In this case we are talking about work and passion.
Creating a Google Adsense account
The first step is to create a Google Adsense account.
All you have to do is sign in to Google Adsense and sign up and you'll need a gmail account.
You will be directed to a page where you will choose your site where you want to promote and the language of the content on the site.
After this information, you will be directed to a list of personal questions that must be completed.
Here you will be able to choose if you want the natural or legal person to create the account. I recommend that you choose the legal entity and make a PFA. In the end it will be a business and must be treated as such.
A PFA (Authorized Individual) Development Guide can be found HERE .
Once you've filled in all the details and submitted your application, you'll be directed to a page where Google Adsense takes a maximum of one week to review and approve your application.
All you have to do right now is wait for the confirmation email that Google says it has approved your application and that you can start making money through Adsense from now on.
Once you have received official confirmation and your blog has been added to Google Adsense, you are now ready to begin your path to your passive income.
Here you will have real-time information about your financial performance on Adsense.
You can also download the Google Adsense app for your phone or google Chrome here.
How do I allocate advertising space on my site
Once you've created your google adsense account and it's been activated, it's time to start allocating advertising space to your site.
You can make these ads on the " My Ads " page .
If you haven't made any ads yet, it means you'll have a blank page and you'll need to click the " + New ad unit " button .
Before you choose your ad type, you need to understand how your ads work and how the ad sizes are offered by Google Adsense.
The types of ads found in Google Adsense
There are ads that move with the content of your site, whether it's articles or other content. These are targeted by Google software as discreet and different from your content, which is why they appear on your page to give you more information and not to disturb your user experience on that page.
Ads can be text ads, link ads, and banner ads.
Here are the types of ads found by Google Adsense:
Recommended Ads
These are the ads most used by advertisers (those who want to advertise you). In my opinion, these are the best sizes you can apply to your blog.
The dimensions that fall into this category are:
728 x 90 px - Recommended size for the Blog Header (top)
336 x 280 px - The recommended size for the right side of the blog (widget section) or for inserting in the middle of an article.
320 x 100 px - Special size for mobile. It will only appear on your blog when someone logs in from your mobile.
300 x 600 px - Special size for widget. It has great visibility with great chances of someone clicking.
300 x 250 px - The most accessed size in google adsense. It fits easily for the widget section, for the article, but also for the footer (bottom of the blog).
In the following categories I will tell you what each one is for. You will find out their size from the image and you will have to study them to find out if they are suitable for your blog or not.
I personally recommend you to start with the Recommended sizes, because they are also the most used by advertisers.
Ads Banners Horizontal
These sizes are suitable for blog header sections. All are flat and thin rectangles.
The most used in this category are: 728 x 90 px and 468 x 60 px.
Vertical banner ads
These sizes are especially suitable for the widget (right or left). They are long and have a very good chance of being clicked.
The most used in this category are: 300 x 600 px, 160 x 600 px and 120 x 600 px.
Ads Rectangular
There are ads that fit very well both for the widget section (left or right) but also to place them inside the articles (eg an ad in the middle of an article, and when someone reads an article from you from the blog to click on your banner).
The most used are: 300 x 250 px, 336 x 280 px, 250 x 250 px.
Receptive ads
It is the size that changes according to each user. Used for mobile only, and the size increases or decreases depending on the reader's mobile phone.
Custom ads
This is the section where you can make your own the size of the banners that will appear on your blog.
Ideally, do not use this setting because those who will advertise will most likely not make banners for you in particular. You risk not making any money with this type of banner.
Link ads
It is the size of the ads that have only links in it.
All these are most used by those who want to promote only small links through google adsense.
Here are the 7 ad sizes you can choose for your blog.
I repeat, the most used dimensions are the RECOMMENDED ones.
If you choose to display text ads on your blog, you can also choose the colors of the ads on your blog.
You just have to play with the colors according to your logo and the image of the blog.
You can customize your ads according to the categories of the website. I recommend that you do not use this setting first. When you have tens of thousands of unique ones a day, then it's time to think about that too.
The Alternative Ads section can be very important to you.
If on one of your pages where you have an ad banner no one wants to be promoted, that banner section should be covered with something.
For you, Google Adsense has the following solutions:
Display an empty space, ie absolutely nothing is displayed in the banner section,
Let it be a uniform color of your choice.
Post another personal ad. You can create a personal banner to display there if google adsense has no ads for your blog.
The best option is the one with number 3, but if you don't have your own ad, you can use the free space. Free space is better than a uniform color that appears for no reason.
Now back to a section called Ad Type.
Here you have to choose whether for your blog you want only graphic ads (with images), text ads (text only) or graphic ads + text.
If you choose image + text ads, you have a very good chance that an ad will appear permanently on your blog.
This setting is also my recommendation for you.
Below is an example of how I chose the settings for an ad that I will display in the widget on the right.
I chose the text + banner version and the size 300 x 250 px, the most used by advertisers. If there is no ad to show, an empty space will appear.
At the end I gave " Save and get the code ".
After these settings you will automatically receive the script code to be added to your blog in the desired section.
This is what the code to be added looks like.
Copy the script code and add it in the widget section - TEXT.
And in the shortest time there were commercials.
Each reader on the blog will see an ad based on its history, which leads to visitors seeing different ads on your blog.
Once you've applied the code to your blog and your ad is active, you'll notice that you'll have a monitored ad in your Google Adsense ad table.
Very easily we can make another ad to be displayed in another part of the blog.
After this activity, in just a few minutes your ad will appear on your personal blog. It will look like this, depending on the type of frame.
From now on the process is similar. All you have to do is set your ad types and add the codes to your blog and nothing more.
And shortly after the addition, after only 2 clicks, 0.60 euros were made. It is a new account created by me in which I made this tour.
The process is simple and easy, but it all matters how many visitors you have to the blog.
In the end, that number should interest you the most because depending on it, your income will be higher or lower.
Next I want to talk a little about the principles of positioning an Adsense ad - Whether or not there are good placements where you need to place your ads on the blog.
Advertising placement tips
Ad placement is almost everything when it comes to promotion results. To tell you the truth, but you certainly know this, banners are the most avoided ads by internet users, but thousands of online stores prefer this way of promotion. Why?
Because in this type of promotion, everything depends on the placement of the advertisers, ie the places where they are displayed on a site.
Put interesting ads where there are interesting texts.
This is where the interesting part of google comes in. Google helps you place your ads on your site so that they reach people who are really interested in clicking. But you, as a blogger, have to help google and direct the reader.
Here are some valuable tips for placing a Google ad.
The basic rules of placing an ad
What you need to do is place your ads where your reader watches most often. You need to make sure that the ads you place on your blog are as natural as possible, as interesting as possible, and look like they are part of your blog.
There are some general and very important rules about ad format, namely:
Horizontal banners - should appear at the top of the blog;
Rectangular banners - should preferably appear inside the text or in the widget section.
Vertical banners - perfect for the widgets section.
Wordpress plugins that will help you in Google Adsense
Remember plugins? These are the modules you can add to your blog to add certain extensions for better use of your blog.
Insert Post Ads
WP Keyword Link
Careful! To remember! Very important to remember is the number of banners you can add to your blog.
The maximum number of banners is 3. What's more is totally harmful to your blog which may have a not very good image to its target audience.
Many recommend a number of 2, and after you reach a traffic of a few thousand a day, you can add one more.
I personally recommend the same. Following the template written above, add a maximum of 2 banner ads to your blog.
Those who will be interested in the advertisers' ads will click, those who will not, will be fine because these ads are not annoying.
Speaking of ads, let me show you where you can allow certain banners to appear on your blog or you can block certain banners that are not in line with what you are communicating.
This can be done from the Google Adsense account page " Allow and block Alow & Block ads ".
In the section " Advertiser URLs " you can enter the links of those agencies that you do not want to appear on your blog.
Maybe it's some ads that have bad content for your readers and you don't want to bother with such ads.
In the " Advertising Networks - Ad Networds " section you have the option to allow or block advertising networks that are not related to your website.
There are hundreds of networks that you need to check individually. My recommendation is not to use this blocking method for a start, but to use the blocking more on each banner or on each website because you can have more control then.
You better block individually than in a group. If you block a group there is a good chance that a possible useful ad will not appear for your blog.
The " Ad Serving - Ad Serving " section is a general settings section about delivering the ads you want.
Here you need to analyze each one and see if they are useful or not for your blog. Most of them (including me) left them all checked. Chances are your ads will reach your readers.
The last page, the most important in my opinion, is " Ads (Ad Review Center - Ad Review Cetner ")
This is where you will have to work hard. Here it will show you all the ads (graphics or text) that will appear on your blog.
It's up to you whether you want all the ads from all the advertisers to appear or whether you want to block certain ads.
Here you see each ad and you can block one by one according to your wishes.
Once you've learned all about making ads, blocking ads, and posting them on your personal blog, there are monitoring and reporting periods.
You can do these monitoring and reporting in the "Performance Reports" section.
Here you can track all the clicks that someone on the blog makes on an advertisement, the money you make every day, as well as the performance of each dimension of ads on the blog.
It is important to follow these reports because only by analyzing them can you get the desired feedback and you can improve the experience that a user has on the blog.
How to pay on Google Adsense
It's time to discuss a very important section of this course, " How do I make money after I make it?"
I think this is the section you've been waiting for a long time since the beginning of the chapter. Honestly, this section may be unimportant if you haven't implemented all the tips in the course so far.
From the beginning I tell you that the whole collection process is very simple. The first thing you need to do is go to google adsense and access the " Payments " section .
It is important to know that the minimum threshold for a payment on Google Adsense is 70 euros , ie you have to click on this amount to make money.
From the "Payment settings" section, you set the payment methods available for your account, ie the card where the money will be delivered to you.
You can only set the payment method if you have a value of at least 10 euros in your Adsense account.
In conclusion, for the payment part, everything is very simple and transparent.
If you want, you can link the account with your company or PFA to avoid taxes and contributions to the state.
What I can assure you is that every time the payment will be made, you will never be deceived, and everything is as flexible and transparent as possible.
The payment process is very simple, the process of making money is more complicated and you have a lot of work there.
If we also went over the payments side, from now on all you have to do is work a lot on your personal blog.
I repeat once again, if you want to have results, you have to work hard and provide quality in every article made.
In addition to the content side, you need to learn how to do SEO for your blog and you need to understand how social media works.
Social networks can become an important source of traffic that can turn into an important source of money.
